Our building:

Sudbury Summer Camp will be held in the former St. John's Episcopal Church in the heart of Mt. Washington, Baltimore. This is the same space that our school, Arts & Ideas Sudbury School, uses during the school year.  We have a computer lab, an art room, the "Great Room" complete with ample seating and a stage, a kitchen, a play room, a music room, a video production room, and plenty of general "hang out" space. A short list of available materials in our space includes: desktop computers, kareoke, laptops, ipads, video production equiptment and green screen studio, books of all kinds for all ages, gymnastic mats, a fooseball table, board games, musical instruments and music-making software (including recording and editing software and a piano), dress up clothes, blocks and other hands-on toys, kitchen and cooking equiptment, art supplies, and outdoor sports equipment.

Our outdoor space:

Not only do we have access to our beautiful building, but also to our ample outdoor space. Next to our building is the "fenced in yard," a small grassy area perfect for just hanging out, small outdoor games, eating, and campfires built in our fire pit. Across the parking lot, we also have access to our large grassy field. This is a favorite spot for big games of Capture the Flag or Sharks and Minnows,  swinging on the tree swings and other outdoor adventures.

Our neighborhood:

Our building is located right across the street from the Mt. Washington Mill, which is home to many shops and eateries that are quite popular among our school students. Favorite destinations include the Uncle Wiggly's ice cream shop, Charm City Cupcakes, Whole Foods, and Starbucks. We are also located right down the street from a gorgeous arboretum that is easily accessible by foot. Additionally, we are only a ten minute walk from the Light Rail, giving us access to the whole city of Baltimore!
